BOGATIKOV SERGEY

(A phonogram of songs about Dagestan and Chechnya sounds)

HOST 1

HOST 2
This means that somewhere in the silence of the night evil bullets whistle hysterically,
And that in this struggle, as in any war, life and death again stand side by side.
This means that in this severe battle your peer, fellow countryman, your neighbor
Protects your love and hope, the welcoming light of our windows.
Protecting everything that we value so much, he leads this righteous battle,
Our happiness and work, our peaceful life, are shielded from trouble.

HOST 1
High, high above the earth is the blue - this is the peaceful sky over the Motherland,
But we hear simple and strict words: “Combat is awarded with an order.”

HOST 2
It’s always hard and painful to talk about losses, but when very young people pass away, it’s doubly hard and painful to talk about. Today, on the eve of the City Day of Yelets - the city of military glory, a memorial plaque is being unveiled at Lyceum No. 5, a memorial sign that will again and again remind us of the war, of the loss of life, of maternal and human grief.

HOST 1
Today we bow our heads in memory of our lyceum graduate Sergei Nikolaevich Bogatikov, who fulfilled his military duty in the Chechen Republic and the Republic of Dagestan.

HOST 2
The meeting dedicated to the opening of a memorial plaque in memory of the Hero of Russia, a graduate of the lyceum, Sergei Bogatikov, is declared open.

Anthem of Russia

HOST 1
To be a patriot of the Fatherland, to serve it with dignity, with faith and truth, and if necessary with life itself, was considered a great honor for a citizen of Russia at all times!

HOST 2
And Sergei Bogatikov was just such a faithful son of the Fatherland!

HOST 1
Prosperous boys were born in the 80s,
The terrible breath of war - in Chechnya, they found out
not according to the books...

HOST 2
The director of the lyceum addresses all students, teachers, and guests.

WORD TO THE DIRECTOR OF THE LYCEUM.

HOST 1
We are asked one question:
“Are you ever scared?”
Nobody wants to die
Everyone knows about this
But if they ask you to help
And protect from death
Then suppressing the fear in the soul,
We are going into battle, believe me.

A WORD FROM THE CITY'S MILITARY COMBAT.

SONG “I SERVE RUSSIA”

HOST 2
Here the birches bowed wearily,
So in Russian they are light and slender.
Somewhere there, in the depths of Dagestan,
Boys are dying in the heat of war.

HOST 1
Senior Sergeant Sergei Bogatikov remembered that battle for the rest of his life. Battalion of the 119th Guards Parachute Regiment of the 106th Guards Airborne Division, where Sergei was held conscript service, was stationed in the relatively calm republic of Dagestan.

HOST 2
Sergei temporarily acted as platoon commander. On that day, fulfilling the assigned combat mission in the Novolaksky district, his platoon ran into an ambush by many times superior forces of militants.

HOST 1
Waging an unequal battle, the platoon was surrounded, and if not for Sergei’s leadership talent, in our long-suffering Russia another 21 mothers would not have seen their son return from the war.

HOST 2
They say there are no miracles. But Sergei Bogatikov withdrew 20 of his soldiers under heavy fire from the militants. Brought it out! To yours! Everyone is alive - no one is even injured!

HOST 1

HOST 2
Since that distant war there has been a blizzard in the souls of the boys,
We haven’t met a better, more reliable friend...

HOST 1
He told them that he wouldn't let them down
And you just have to believe that it will lead you to the regiment
He saved his platoon, covering the retreat,
He is not afraid of an enemy machine gun either.

HOST 2
If you don't believe, God will judge us.
There are, like crystal, very pure people...
And those 20 living and healthy guys from Sergei’s platoon, natives of Orenburg, Altai Territory, Izhevsk will remember that there is a city in Russia called Yelets - the hometown of their “father”, to whom they owe their lives!

HOST 1
Then there were more fights. There was Chechnya. And not all awards have been received yet. And Sergei was nominated for the Order “For Courage”, the medals “For Courage” and “Suvorov”!

HOST 2
And for that memorable battle, for 20 lives saved, by Decree of the President of Russia, Sergei was awarded the high title of Hero of Russia!

WORD TO THE HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION OF THE CITY ADMINISTRATION

HOST 1
We recognize those who served in Afghanistan, Chechnya and Dagestan not only by the order bars on civilian clothes...

HOST 2
We recognize them by their calm and firm faces. These are people you can always rely on. These are people who have been hardened by war.

WORD TO THE DEPUTY CHAIRMAN OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF DEPUTIES OF THE CITY OF Elets

SONG “RUSSIAN GUY” (FROM REP. A. GOMAN)

HOST 1
They don't know what to write home
So as not to disturb mom.
Why did the war come again?
She can't understand.
In tears, he dreams only of
So that my son returns alive,
He hugged her and said, “Don’t cry.”
And he simply smiled.

HOST 2

A word from the Hero’s mother, Olga Valerievna.

SPEECH BY OLGA VALERIENVA.

PRESENTATION OF FLOWERS

HOST 1
The right to open the memorial plaque is given to Olga Valerievna!

OPENING OF THE MEMORIAL PLATE.

POEM ON BEHALF OF STUDENTS

WAR! You will never be forgiven
Fatherland, have you not forgotten the soldier?
Those who suffered torment in Afghanistan and Chechnya,
Those who remained pure and holy in captivity.

Hiding the pectoral cross under the vest,
You prayed “Lord, forgive me!”
And now what? We all remember this
Heroes are always honored!

And in the church, candles are crying in front of the photo,
You remain young forever.
War breaks destinies and cripples,
So be she damned forever.

The last submarine left for the voyage,
It died down in the gorge last Stand,
On the monuments there are berets and caps again,
But the warrior lives in human memory.

And how much is left on earth,
Those who survived captivity and injury,
Courage and will began with them,
They crushed the enemy as long as they had enough strength.

So look into their eyes openly,
And help them with everything you can,
No one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten,
O warrior, be always guarded by fate!

HOST 2
In memory of those who are not with us today, but who honorably fulfilled their military duty in the Republic of Dagestan and the Chechen Republic, a minute of silence is declared!

MINUTE OF SILENCE. METRONOME SOUNDS.
(SALYUT - MILITARY COMMITTEE)

HOST 1
A true hero never ages.
He goes on the attack as a young man.
He leaves this life young
And he will find immortality in his actions!

HOST 2
And now lay flowers to the lyceum students as a sign of gratitude!

LAYING FLOWERS.

Bogatikov, Sergey Nikolaevich Information About

On August 7, 1999, the Republic of Dagestan was invaded by four hundred Chechen militants under the overall command of Shamil Basayev and the Arab mercenary Khattab. The Dagestanis desperately resisted the invasion of the bandits, but within a few days the group captured many villages. And five days later, columns of Russian armored vehicles entered the territory of Chechnya. A military operation has begun to oust the militants from Dagestan. There was a second Chechen war in which, as if in a meat grinder, the lives of someone’s sons, brothers, and fathers were mutilated. However, many of our soldiers were not yet fathers, but only sons and grandsons. Thus, nineteen-year-old Yeltsin resident Sergei Bogatikov served in the federal forces.

By that time, he had served in the army for just over six months. He graduated from the training military unit of the Airborne Forces in the city of Naro-Fominsk, Moscow Region, and served in the 119th Guards Parachute Regiment.

Shortly before the onset of that hot August, Sergei was sent to the relatively calm Novolaksky region of Dagestan, bordering the Chechen Republic.

On August 12, the battalion in which Bogatikov served unexpectedly stumbled upon a militant ambush. The commander was killed in the first minutes of the battle. And twenty-one people - yesterday's boys, the same age as Sergei, found themselves surrounded by bandits, whose number was several times greater. There was also no question of comparing the experiences of both. The situation seemed hopeless...

STORY WITH THE JACKET

When Seryozha was still studying at the fifth lyceum in the city of Yelets, he was known as a straightforward, mischievous and fearless boy. Seeing mom off parent meetings, always joked:

They will probably scold you, but you have to be patient, mom. This is the kind of son you got.

Seryozha was an average student: he was not an excellent student, but he did not register as a poor student either. More often he received punishment for his behavior; his irrepressible boyish energy constantly demanded an outlet.

But everyone was surprised at the kindness of this student. Once there was such a case: in late autumn, Sergei came home from school in only his uniform.

Where's the jacket? - Mom, Olga Valerievna, gasped. - Was it really stolen? No wonder: new, dear.

No, they didn’t steal it,” the son answered.

Forgot it in the locker room?

Then what?

Yes, he was going home... An old man was standing on the street, begging for alms. Winter is coming, and he’s wearing only a shirt. It's cold! Well, I gave away my jacket. He was very happy.

Son, you have an old jacket at home. You would give it away.

For what? The new one is warmer and more beautiful!

This is all Seryozha Bogatikov.

After graduating from eight classes, he entered the Yelets vocational school to become an electrician. And soon he was drafted into the army, in that hot August...

“I TAKE COMMAND!”

The militants were getting closer and closer, enclosing the boys in a tight ring. Death was near.

I take command! - Sergei suddenly barked.

Junior Sergeant Bogatikov had never been a commander before. He desperately lacked experience and knowledge. But he looked at his fellow soldiers - and simply was unable to wait for initiative from others. Yes, during the time of confusion they missed the opportunity to retreat; the militants had already closed the circle. But this did not change the decision of yesterday’s boy. As if not for the first time, in literally minutes he managed to arrange his fellow soldiers in such a way that their defensive position turned out to be very convenient. Also, in a matter of minutes, Sergei was able to establish contact with his people.

For five long hours the boys successfully repelled the attacks of the militants. And when news came of approaching reinforcements, junior sergeant Bogatikov organized a strike against the bandits, broke through the ring and, under hurricane fire, led his men into the mountains. He didn't know the way, but he saved everyone. On that terrible day, none of Sergei’s twenty wards were injured. And the next day the entire 106th Guards Airborne Division began calling him Dad. Although some "sons" were older than their "father".

AND THEN...

Then there was further service in Chechnya, shell shock, medals and leave. Sergei returned home with the rank of senior sergeant and only then, in his usual manner, told his mother about what had happened.

What's so scary? – he asked, seeing how she clutched her heart. - They would all have died, no one was responsible for them, and there were these animals around. By the way, they promised to give me an order for that August. If they do, then you will forgive me all the meetings at which you were ashamed of me.

And indeed, on February 23, 2000, Sergei went to the Kremlin to receive the Star of the Hero of Russia. He was incredibly happy...

For several years after this event, the hero Bogatikov lived and worked in Yelets. He joked that he would now live to be a hundred years old. However, his heart, which had endured so much, could no longer beat. Sergei did not even live to see thirty. He died at home, having suffered from severe heart attacks for several months before.

The lyceum where the mischievous boy Bogatikov once studied now bears his name. No, no, yes, the “sons” of the “father” will come here. How grown-up children come home...
