Job description for x-ray technician - sample 2019/2020. Job responsibilities of an x-ray technician, rights of an x-ray technician, responsibilities of an x-ray technician.

1. What is the name of your profession (position)?

My profession is called x-ray laboratory assistant.

2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities?

The work in my profession involves preparing patients for x-rays and taking x-rays using special modern devices.

First of all, I record the patient's data in a journal. For various types different shots need to be taken preparatory work. In any case, first I put protective equipment on the patient to protect vital organs from radiation. After taking an x-ray, I also have to develop the resulting films. Our hospital has a special developing machine for this purpose.

3. What education is required to obtain your position?

To work in this profession, I graduated from medical school and completed specialized courses for x-ray laboratory technicians.

4. Describe your work day.

My working day starts at 8:00 am and lasts until 14:00. The number of x-rays is usually always different. Therefore, every day can be differently loaded. But in any case, I close the X-ray room at 14:00.

5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day on the street, or in the office with a cup of coffee)?

Our working conditions are very comfortable. As a rule, the X-ray machine room is separated and protected from my workplace (office). I have a computer installed to record the results and keep statistics.

6. What do you like most about your business?

What I like most about my profession is the work schedule. The 5 days a week, 6 hours schedule is very convenient for me.

7. What do you dislike most about your business?

The only drawback here is that there is a small risk of receiving an excessive dose of radiation. But at the same time, I always carry a special device with me that constantly determines the radiation dose. In our modern X-ray room there are no such excesses.

8. If it’s not a secret, what is your salary level (is it enough to write whether you’re satisfied or not)?

My salary averages 6-7 thousand rubles per month..

9. Describe your team, what people work with you?

Our team is quite diverse in age, but nevertheless quite friendly. There are also young specialists here who came to gain experience in medicine, but there are also more experienced workers who share their experience with the young ones.

10. What human qualities, in your opinion, are most important in your business?

For my profession, an important human quality is composure and not being afraid of human injury. People are often brought to us to look at to the common man not entirely pleasant.

11. Work gives me additional opportunities (here is everything that work gives you besides money, from self-expression and communication with interesting people to the opportunity to visit different countries).

My job only gives me experience in medicine and communication with people.

12. You have the opportunity to rate your work on a five-point scale, what rating would you give?

On a five-point scale, I would rate my profession as a solid four.

13. Why did you choose this job?

I chose my profession because I like working in the medical field.

14. What opportunities exist for your career development?

If we talk specifically about the profession, then as such there is no chance of career growth for me until I finish higher education. And generally speaking, there is a possibility of promotion to the position of head nurse

In this survey, in my opinion, everything is taken into account. The only thing I want to add is that it is a very good site.

If you are considering other options (besides employment as an x-ray technician), then do not limit yourself to this selection of advertisements, we have many other positions for different positions. There you can also use the search for offers from direct employers and agencies.

The tasks of X-ray diagnostics are performed by an X-ray team consisting of a radiologist, an X-ray technician and a nurse.

In his activities, the laboratory assistant is subordinate to the head of the department, and during work - to the radiologist, and is responsible to him for the technical and economic condition of the R-office.

The X-ray technician simultaneously supervises the work of the R-office nurse and the junior medical staff of the medical departments.

At the workplace, the x-ray technician acts as three specialists: a paramedical worker, an x-ray technician and a photo lab assistant, alternately performing the duties of each of them. Workplace x-ray technician during working day constantly changing.

The working day of an x-ray technician begins with planning, taking into account the volume and content of upcoming studies. The time for participation in medical procedures during R-scopy and complex special studies, as well as for independent work, is specified. An approximate order of patients referred for conventional radiography is drawn up. During the working day, it is implemented through contact with the nurses on duty via telephone. All studies are carried out strictly according to the indications and directions of the attending physicians.

The decision on the need for an x-ray examination is made by a radiologist and signs the referral.

The X-ray technician maintains medical records and reporting documentation in accordance with approved standards and within the established time frame;

1. Journal of diagnostic work of R-graphy (indicate full name, age, diagnosis, address, place of work, film size and quantity, radiation dose and conclusion - the result of the description of the image).

2. R-research diary (preparation for the annual report).

3. R-device maintenance log.

4. Journal of sanitary education work.

5. Safety magazine.

Records of the doses received by patients are recorded in the R-graphy and R-scopy journal, as well as the medical history signed by the radiologist.

A daily record of work by examination and by department is maintained.

I compile a monthly report, where, in addition to all this, a record of patients who are in day care, sent from the military registration and enlistment office, and out-of-town patients is kept. From 8 o'clock I accept patients prepared for examination: survey urography, radiography of the lumbosacral spine, irrigography. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., other examinations: images of the OGK, skull, PPN, spine, limbs..

Before starting work, I conduct a visual inspection of the X-ray room and X-ray machine. I check the integrity of the cables and grounding. I do a test run and then work according to plan.

Stages of radiography

1. I get acquainted with the patient’s medical history and give a brief briefing to the patient. I check the direction signed by the radiologist. Above the front door I turn on the “Do not enter” sign.

2. I turn on the desired workplace. I set the X-ray mode appropriate for the patient. I insert the cassette into the cassette holder.

3. I place the patient on the table deck, center the central beam on the center of the cassette through the area under study and diaphragm the working beam in strict accordance with the size of the area under study.

4. I protect exposed areas of the body from unused rays, especially critical organs: gonads, mammary glands, thyroid gland, which are not the object of study.

5. I check the correct placement and centering of the x-rays on the monitor.

6. I give a command to the patient and turn on the high voltage.

7. I free the patient from protective equipment and take the cassette.
